Privacy policy
Tessera is built so your life stays yours. This policy covers the Tessera app for iPhone and this website, both made by Lockhart Laboratories LLC.

The short version
- What you put into Tessera is stored on your device. We don't have servers that receive it.
- Tessera has no accounts, no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
- We never sell or share your information.
What Tessera stores, and where
The weeks, plans, people, notes, ratings and settings you add are saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone. They are included in your device's normal backups (iCloud or your computer) if you have backups turned on; those backups are governed by Apple's terms, not ours. Deleting the app deletes this data from the device.
Notifications
If you turn on gentle notifications in Tessera's settings, the app schedules them locally on your phone. They are not sent through our servers. You can turn them off at any time in Tessera or in iOS Settings.
Links to other sites
Links that lead outside Tessera open in Safari. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
This website
lockhartlaboratories.com uses no cookies and no analytics. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply to you.
Children
Tessera is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above. If a future version of Tessera adds features that send information off your device, such as sharing with people you choose, we'll describe them here before they ship.
